Welcome to day 2 of our Pinterest Challenge! Today we will establishing your target market. Your target market is also referred to as your avatar or your ideal customer. We are going to think backwards for a couple of minutes.
- Who will your products or services benefit?
- Who does your business as a whole speak to?
- What group of people do you most connect with?
These questions will help you get the general direction of who your business is speaking to or is made for. Now some of you may be thinking that your business is for everyone. I will take my business for example. I help people have successful online businesses. This is and can be for everyone, but it helps my business to grow rapidly when I target a specific area.
That is where the last question comes in, what group of people do you most connect with? I most connect with moms because I am one. I have seen so many moms who want to stay home with their kids but don’t see how they could survive without the second income. I get that, it is super difficult living on one income in America. I relate to this so well, and there are options. You can replace your income working from home part time.
This is what I am passionate about and so it is the group of people that I speak to. What group of people do you resonate with most?
The next thing to figure out is what type of problems your target market has and where they go to fix them.
- What are they searching the internet for?
- What problem does your target market have that you can solve?
- Where does your target market typically go to solve this problem?
- What social media platforms does your target market hang out on the most?
Knowing the answers to the above questions will not only help you be more focused in your business, but also know where to place ads in your marketing.
